Who Listens to and Comforts a Black Man when he’s Upset? When he’s Frustrated?
Exactly! Nobody!
Who Listens to and Comforts a Black Woman when she’s Upset? When she’s Frustrated?
Exactly! Everybody.
See that’s the major problem we have in the black community; the emotions of black men don’t matter to anyone because our mothers (more than anyone), girlfriends and wives have been programmed to teach us to suppress our emotions and feelings which in turn allowed them and society to use us to their advantage (walking all over us).
“Men aren’t supposed to cry, aren’t supposed to show emotion, aren’t supposed to feel. When they lash out after you have provoked them, call the police (Slave Catchers). When they get arrested and when your logic sinks in (when you realize you were wrong all along and when you realize it’s better to have a man at home then out of the home), call and lie about the accusations you accused him of.”
But it’s okay for our women to express themselves loudly!?
BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT!
We are constantly being torn down and expected to build and carry on with the weight of the world on our backs. NO HELP, NO LISTENERS, NO COMFORT! Just PUNISHMENT!
That SHIT STOPS!
Black men, It’s not okay to suppress our emotions and feelings. It’s not okay for our women or anyone else to walk over us while we remain quiet. We are not a punching bag to the uncontrolled emotions and behaviors of our mothers, girlfriends and wife’s. It’s okay to speak up for yourself and call everyone out on their BULLSHIT.
It’s okay to keep your resources and logic away from those who aren’t worthy, no matter how much time and effort you have invested into them. It’s okay to walk away from places and situations where you aren’t valued. REALLY VALUED.
IT’S OKAY TO BE A BLACK MAN WITH EMOTIONS BECAUSE YOU TOO ARE HUMAN WITH FEELINGS, LIKE THE SAME WOMAN WHO BIRTHED YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN.
