Cleveland Author Jameel Davis Speaks At John Adams High School

Values In Action, Project Love and John Adams High School, invites Cleveland Author Jameel Davis to share his poem, “I Don’t Deserve To Be Shot Down” and to speak briefly to the students about winning in life. I Don’t Deserve To Be Shot Down is a poem that shares the experiences of those who have lived and who currently live in poverty dominated communities, plagued by violence. I Don’t Deserve To Be Shot Down means, I shouldn’t be gunned down nor rejected from opportunities because you don’t know my story. I’m just trying to make a difference in my family and in my community. Maurice Newman of Project Love, have grown to know the exceptional young author over the years and has done a phenomenal job at introducing Jameel Davis to the students.
