Cleveland Job Corps Center to host Award-Winning Speaker, Poet & Author Jameel Davis, Thursday March 22, 2018.

School Administrators welcome Davis to share his poem, “I Don’t Deserve To Be Shot Down” and to uplift the entire student body that consists of 300 students, through his empowerment and through entertainment, provided by two local highly talented musical artists, who have said to have created a soundtrack to “Cultivating Minds To Own Thyself.” A book also written by Davis.

I Don’t Deserve To Be Shot Down, has recently attracted over 700 attendees at the 23rd Annual Rescuer of Humanity Awards Dinner, held January 18th at Landerhaven by the Values-In-Action Foundation. Jameel was one of seven prestigious honorees that evening.

Davis’s book, Cultivating Minds To Own Thyself, encourages readers to define, identify and to accept thyself, and to modify their thoughts, so that they can become their best self and make a difference in the lives of others.

At the conclusion of the assembly, Davis will be hosting a book-signing at the center, autographing copies of his book for students.

Jameel Davis is dedicated to promoting kindness, understanding and hope to Cleveland’s disadvantaged children and adults alike. Jameel is committed to sharing his story, lifting up others and shinning rays of hope throughout Cleveland and beyond. He is devoted to coaching individuals during times of change, empathizing with their perspectives and taking time to help them through their problems. He is fueled by passion to help make people better and encourages us to free our mind by writing.
